This policy explains how Photon Services Limited uses information when you use Habitlane and this website.

Who is responsible

Photon Services Limited is responsible for Habitlane’s processing of your personal information. Our company and contact details are on the support page.

Your account and your plan

We use account details, such as your email address and account identifiers, to sign you in, secure your account and provide support. Your sign-in provider may also supply your name. Clerk provides our authentication service.

Habitlane stores your tasks, habits, routines, schedules, notes, links, checklist items and recorded outcomes on your device and in your account’s cloud store. Convex provides that cloud database and synchronisation service. This lets us make your plan available across supported devices and preserve changes when you reconnect after working offline.

Optional calendar connections

Calendar access is separate from signing in to Habitlane. If you grant iPhone calendar permission, Habitlane can display and manage the calendars available through Apple’s calendar services. If you connect Google Calendar, Habitlane requests access to your calendar list and calendar events so you can select calendars, view events and make changes through the app.

Google credentials are held in the app’s secure credential storage. External calendar projections and credentials are not included in the app-owned task records sent through Habitlane’s ordinary cloud synchronisation. Backup and export files may contain calendar information; protect the destination you choose.

You can disconnect a Google account in Habitlane, revoke its access in your Google Account, or change iPhone calendar permission in iOS Settings. Event-related location searches are sent to Apple’s mapping services when you use that feature.

AI assistants, only when you connect them

If you authorise a compatible assistant, it can access the Habitlane-owned information covered by the permissions you approve. Our service uses Cloudflare for connection pages and shared task-processing services. You can review and revoke assistant connections in the app. Habitlane’s MCP connection does not provide access to external calendars or AI-controlled backup and restore.

The assistant you choose is a separate service. Information it receives is also handled under that provider’s policies. Do not connect an assistant unless you are comfortable with its handling of the data you authorise it to access.

Diagnostics and optional support recording

We use Sentry to identify crashes, hangs, errors and slow operations. Diagnostics can include app and operating-system versions, technical error information, code stacks, operation timings and a hashed account support identifier. They are designed to exclude task text, notes, calendar contents, credentials and request bodies. The support identifier means these diagnostics are not wholly anonymous.

Automatic session recording is disabled. You can choose to start a masked support recording for up to two minutes. Text and images are masked. Recording stops when you enter private forms or settings, change accounts, leave the app or stop it yourself.

Why we use this information

We process account and planning information to provide the service you request. We process necessary security, reliability and support information for our legitimate interests in operating a dependable service and responding to problems. Optional calendar permissions and support recordings are under your control. We do not use your task or calendar content for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or use Google Calendar data to train general-purpose AI models.

Service providers and international processing

We use Apple, Google, Clerk, Convex, Cloudflare and Sentry for the functions described above. These providers may process information in countries outside your own, including outside the UK and European Economic Area, subject to applicable data-protection arrangements. Contact us if you need further information about the providers used for your account.

Keeping and deleting information

We retain account information and planning data as needed to provide Habitlane, respond to requests and meet applicable obligations. You can request deletion from Settings → Account or by emailing support. Cloud deletion, local device data and independently saved backup files are separate: copies you save to your own storage are under your control. Limited security, operational or legally required records may be retained where necessary.

Backup files and cached information should be handled carefully. Removing a calendar connection does not delete events from the calendar provider. Deleting a task in Habitlane does not delete a separate conversation or document linked from that task.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, and may object to or ask us to restrict certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it. Email support@habitlane.app; we may ask for information needed to verify your identity. You can also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

This website

This public website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts or application cookies. Cloudflare hosts it and may process standard connection information, such as IP addresses and security-related request metadata, to deliver and protect the site. Opening a separate sign-in or assistant-connection page involves that page’s authentication services.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as Habitlane develops. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide additional notice when appropriate for a material change.
